First Impressions: Tangle Teezer

I feel like I’m the last person on Earth to try out the Tangle Teezer, but I still wanted to give you all my thoughts on it.

Having used a detangling tool before I didn’t have high hopes for this one because I personally feel like my hair is a little difficulty detangle. Beyond my surprise the brush easily slid through my wet , pre-poo’ed hair. I used the Deva Curl Wash Day Wonder with the Tangle Teezer , and although the slip from the Deva Curl product is out of this world I do feel like the Tangle Teezer held its own.

Bristles:

I didn’t have high hopes because they were thin and look flimsy but they were strong but not tough enough to break my hair .

Strength

I did try to detangle thick sections with this and although I didn’t have too much trouble I personally feel like it’s best to do smaller sections.

Grip

This was the only thing that made the detangler take and L for me. My hair was so slippery from the Deva Curl product , so the brush kept falling out of my hands. I wouldn’t advise using this in the shower. I would like to see ridges for hand placement in the future or a handle.

Shedding

I lost the same amount of hair that I would have if I would have finger detangled. Also it was easy to clean the brush because the surface isn’t too deep from the bristles .

Recommend?

Yes, the price and quality is great. I am shocked that the brush isn’t more expensive . The quality shows in how there was no bristles loosening and my hair was able to get detangled. If you can get past the grip I think this could be the brush for you.

Thanks for reading and let me know what other hair products or tools you would like to see me review. Talk to you all in my next post, muah !
